This painting is from my Isle of Mull, en plein air series and depicts one of my favourite lochs in the Inner Hebrides. Titled 'looking back’ because this piece is a result of hours I spent studying the Lochbuie from this perspective.

Lochbuie is a remote village nestled on the south coast of the under populated Isle of Mull. The vivid colours and wild beauty of the Scottish Islands in the inner and outer Hebrides fills me with gratitude and provides endless inspiration. Much of my work is painted en plein air - outdoors or in my cosy home studio.
